We are looking for a skilled Chief Accountant to oversee the financial activities of our FNB and Construction-based company. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance with financial regulations across both divisions.

Position Overview:
The Chief Accountant will manage financial reports, fiscal oversight, and operational support while leading our accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  • Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements for both divisions.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards in all reporting.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyze financial data for profitability and cash flow assessments.
• Accounting Operations:
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Manage payroll processes and inventory accounting.
  • Track project-based accounting for construction operations.
• Compliance and Internal Controls:
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Develop internal control policies to safeguard assets.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
  • Assist with financial projections and resource allocation.
• Coordination with Other Departments:
  • Align financial records with café operations.
  • Support project managers in budget tracking.
• Strategic Planning:
  • Advise on long-term financial goals and expansion opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA or CMA preferred).
• 57 years of accounting experience, including 23 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in hospitality and construction accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software Qoyod & Syrve ERP.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.

About the Role:
We are seeking a fresh General Accountant to join our team at The Gulf Industrial Group Ltd. This vital role will involve managing various financial transactions, including vendor invoices postings in SAP and reconciling vendor statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures.

Requirements:

• Fresh Accounting or Finance Graduate.
• Must be registered in SOCPA.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good understanding of accounting regulations and procedures including IFRS.
• Immediate availability.
• Bilingual (English and Arabic).

Fresh Accounting graduates are preferred.
