About the Role
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Forging Shop Manager to join the Operations Department in Ras Tannurah, Eastern Region. This full-time role reports to the Production Director and is responsible for leading the effective management and optimization of all forging processes to ensure operational excellence, enhance efficiency, innovation, and quality in forged products, while aligning with Tuwaiq's strategic goals and production objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective cascading of divisional strategy into operational plans with clear, measurable goals.
- Contribute to divisional objectives by providing guidance, managing performance, and supporting team development.
- Promote adherence to organizational values and ethics, fostering a principle-driven culture.
- Lead talent development initiatives to ensure the division has the required talent for business needs.
- Monitor divisional operations against the approved budget and report variances.
- Manage the implementation of safety strategies, plans, and processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide insights for continuous improvement of Tuwaiq's safety management framework.
- Manage the preparation of unit reports in line with Tuwaiq's requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster relationships supporting business objectives.
- Manage day-to-day forging activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Liaise with Technical and Engineering teams to improve forging processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Review and update contingency plans for forging disruptions to minimize downtime.
- Present regular updates to senior management on forging performance and improvement initiatives.
- Manage rigorous quality control measures in the Forging Shop, ensuring components meet industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations related to forging processes, including safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor health and safety compliance during forging operations, liaising with HSSE teams.
- Manage regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures.
- Ensure the implementation of safety protocols and risk controls across all forging processes.
- Supervise Forging Shop teams to drive continuous skill development, motivation, and a safe working environment.
- Manage the implementation of targeted training programs on forging techniques and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, Certified Forging Specialist, or NEBOSH are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Forging Shop operations or related fields, including at least 4 years in a managerial role.
Technical Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of forging techniques (hot forging, cold forging, die design) and metallurgical properties.
- Familiarity with international forging standards.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to forging operations in Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of material science related to metals and alloys.
- Proficiency in furnace operations and heat treatment integration within forging workflows.
- Understanding of HSSE protocols and compliance requirements.

Work Environment
