About the Role

Zultec is seeking a skilled Prepress Specialist to join its flexographic printing operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is essential for ensuring the accuracy and quality of print output, requiring expertise in prepress workflows, color management, and flexographic plate processing. The role is key to maintaining efficient operations and consistent high-quality results for both narrow web and wide web flexographic printing.

This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and attention to detail, capable of managing the entire prepress process from artwork finalization to plate production. The specialist will be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing workflows to meet production deadlines and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of prepress operations for flexographic printing jobs.
• Prepare, verify, edit, and finalize print-ready artwork files according to production specifications.
• Operate and manage prepress and design software, including Esko, Hybrid Packz, RIP Software, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Utilize and manage workflow automation systems to streamline prepress processes.
• Perform comprehensive color management, including profiling, screening, trapping, and proofing.
• Troubleshoot artwork, plate-making, and print-quality issues to ensure optimal results.
• Optimize files for print to achieve the highest possible quality and efficiency.
• Ensure accurate color reproduction and maintain consistency across all production runs.
• Operate and maintain CTP (Computer-to-Plate) systems and flexo plate processing equipment.
• Manage both water-washable and solvent-washable plate systems.
• Create and maintain accurate color profiles tailored to specific flexographic printing machine requirements.
• Provide support for both narrow web and wide web flexographic printing operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the printing and packaging industry.
• Proven experience in flexible packaging and label printing is preferred.
• Experience working within the GCC or Middle East region is considered an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience in flexographic prepress operations.
• Deep knowledge of flexo printing processes, including narrow web and wide web applications.
• Expertise in color management principles, including profiling, screening, trapping, and RIP processes.
• Solid understanding of the specific requirements for packaging and label printing.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot artwork, plate-making, and print-quality issues.
• Good understanding of workflow automation systems and their application in prepress.
