Job Description: Medical Equipment Technician

Duties and Job Description:

• Perform periodic and preventive maintenance on all medical equipment in the hospital to ensure its efficiency.

• Diagnose technical faults and repair them immediately to ensure the continuation of medical services.

• Calibrate vital devices and ensure the accuracy of readings according to international health standards.

• Install new devices and train medical staff on the correct and safe way to use them.

• Follow up on spare parts requests and manage the technical inventory of the department.

Working Hours:

• Full-time (8 hours daily) with the possibility of working on a shift system as per the department's needs.

• Prepare X-ray and ultrasound imaging equipment.
• Prepare patients for imaging and operate imaging devices.
• Extract and print images.
• Prepare and document work reports.
• Check devices and secure imaging supplies.
• Accompany patients and identify the body parts to be imaged.
• Ignore body parts from exposure to radiation.
• Direct and adjust imaging devices.

• Two-year diploma after high school in radiology technology or diagnostic radiology or any related specialization.
• Advanced skills in MRI and a good knowledge of radiation protection.
• Accurately prepare reports and forecasts.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

• Full-time, six days a week.
• Salary ranging from 5500 to 6500 Saudi Riyals.

• Having a valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

• Monitor the installation of mechanical engines and their operating procedures.
• Identify spare parts, match their specifications, and secure them.
• Implement procedures for receiving mechanical engines for service and repair.
• Inspect and diagnose engine faults and follow up on repairs.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

• 3 years of practical experience.
• 3-year diploma after intermediate competency in mechanical engineering.
• Professional certification from the Engineering Specialties Authority.

• 6 Working Days per week / 1 Day Off
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 1-hour break

• Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of filling machines.
• Strong knowledge of the dairy industry is mandatory.

• Maintain and troubleshoot production machines to prevent breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices.
• Keep inventory records and order parts as necessary.
• Install, commission, and validate new equipment or machines.
• Develop designs that meet performance and cost targets.

• Assist physicians and healthcare staff during imaging procedures.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Record and store imaging results according to policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records as per healthcare regulations.
• Support the medical team in ensuring quality and accuracy of diagnostic results.

• Diploma in Radiology from a recognized institution.
• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) license.
• Knowledge of imaging equipment operation and radiation safety procedures.
• Good communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy (PACS, HIS systems preferred).
• Previous experience in a hospital or medical center is preferred.
