General Accountant

Basic Tasks:
1. Preparing financial accounts:
• Recording daily revenues and expenses.
• Preparing the monthly and annual budget of the organization.
• Monitoring cash flow.
2. Managing invoices and payments:
• Issuing invoices to clients for completed projects.
• Reviewing supplier invoices and ensuring their accuracy before payment.
• Tracking outstanding payments to contractors and suppliers.
3. Payroll management:
• Preparing salaries for employees and technicians.
• Calculating vacations, bonuses, and deductions.
4. Cost analysis:
• Preparing reports on project costs.
• Comparing actual costs with the planned budget and identifying discrepancies.
5. Monitoring taxes and zakat:
• Preparing zakat and VAT returns and submitting them to the relevant authorities.
• Ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations.
6. Managing financial records:
• Organizing documents, invoices, and accounting records.
• Preparing periodic financial reports for management to make appropriate decisions.
7. Participating in tenders:
• Preparing the financial statements required for tenders.
• Providing accurate cost estimates for new projects.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (*, QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong knowledge of accounting costs and project budgets.
• Good understanding of local tax and zakat systems.
• Analytical skills and high precision in work.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate operations with other departments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Previous experience in the contracting field (preferred).
• Basic familiarity with technical aspects related to contracting (additional advantage).
