Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day project accounting activities in accordance with the company’s policies.
• Handle day-to-day transactions data entry on the system and ensure accuracy and timely entry.
• Manage project's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting system.
• Generate financial reports using expenditure data.
• Invoice third parties and manage payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyze employee expenditures and manage expenditure accounts.
• Handle the transfer of cash and checks from the company treasury.
• Prepare cheques or make cash payments for approved expenditures or refunds.
• Arrange and manage Petty cash.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Finance or Accounting field.
• Must be Saudi.

The Role
Manage the day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department. Assure that all books of records are maintained neatly and accurately in order to present timely, reliable financial information to Management.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Keep Balance Sheet reconciliation up-to-date for selected accounts identified by DOF. Ensure that adjustments are made on a timely basis.
• Ensure all books and records are maintained in a concise, easily understood manner.
• Ensure adequate documentation is maintained in an easily retrievable manner to support all transactions.
• Ensure that each function in the Accounting Department operates at peak efficiency.
• Schedule observation of monthly inventories by Accounting Personnel and participate in inventory count.
• With the General Cashier, count Cashiers safe once every week on a surprise basis as required by SOP, and share any finding with the DOF immediately.
• Ensure monthly closing is performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop and implement plan to cross train all clerks to perform any position in the office.
• Perform analysis as required by the DOF.
• Provide assistance to DOF in a timely completion of Internal Audits.
• Reconcile selected A&L accounts identified by DOF on a monthly basis and adjust immediately if necessary.
• Participate in Forecast, Budget and Business Plan, CAPEX process with understanding of respective application.
• Ensure full review of A&L is being performed and approved by the DOF monthly and GM on a quarterly basis.
• Calculate accruals and prepayments as needed for the Hotel and ensure they are in compliance with the policy and the Uniform System of accounts.

As a Chief Accountant, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring the effective management of all the financial matters of the hotel. You will work closely with other departments in matters affecting the financial operations of the property. Additionally, you will interact with suppliers and other business partners outside the hotel such as lawyers, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, and commercial and government banks.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end closing tasks.
• Monitor and prepare monthly account reconciliations and take necessary actions.
• Issue monthly invoices for Red Sea Global Hospitality, General Manager, Store, and Shop rentals.
• Prepare all journal vouchers for month-end closing.
• Generate monthly financial statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives.
• Review and approve city ledger transactions before posting.
• Approve payment requests, travel expenses, employee advances, and petty cash before processing.
• Contribute to budget preparation, forecast reports, and monthly reporting to the corporate office.
• Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.
