We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team at InterContinental. You will play a crucial role in managing all accounting operations and ensuring financial compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our commitment to True Hospitality for Good.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in control of inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits, and remittances.
Enforce, document, and establish adequate controls for all revenues and expenses.
Maintain up-to-date account analysis and reconciliation.
Provide accurate and timely financial and operating information.
Identify training needs and conduct training sessions for staff.
Oversee safekeeping of contracts, leases, and other financial records.
Monitor capital expenditures to comply with approvals.
Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Lead the accounting team and mentor junior staff.
Handle audits and liaise with external auditors.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (*, PeopleSoft, Opera).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
