About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Bill Collector / Credit Supervisor to join its team. This full-time position involves assisting management with financial and operational reviews, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and managing collection processes. The role requires a professional who can maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and uphold quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing and evolving operating and financial issues, assisting management as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy of figures, postings, and financial documents.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data for financial record-keeping using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
  • Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
  • Review, reconcile, and process credit card vouchers, advance deposits, overpayments, cancelled reservations, tax exemptions, and voucher invoices (*, Marriott Rewards and gift certificates).
  • Respond to and resolve questions or disputes from Marriott's Shared Service Center/guests, credit card companies, and banks.
  • Conduct credit checks as directed and follow up on past due accounts to resolve them.
  • Set up, maintain, and manage collections for check guarantee service accounts.
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees, serving as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, communicate professionally, and prepare accurate written documents.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and visually verify information.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
