About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Interface Engineer to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing design correctness and completeness, managing engineering information flow, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance of Design Consultants to ensure design correctness, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.
  • Control and manage Senior Discipline Engineers within the Project Management Team regarding design aspects.
  • Manage the timely provision of engineering and design information between parties to support associated stakeholders.
  • Identify the need for and ensure appropriate reviews and audits are implemented to assure interface management performance.
  • Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession requests submitted by Design Consultants for Client approval.
  • Attend all meetings with Design Consultants, sub-consultants, and Client meetings.
  • Review project design strategy and provide recommendations to the client.
  • Proactively support weekly and monthly interface management meetings to resolve outstanding interface issues.
  • Suggest alternative materials/systems to improve process design, future maintenance, and construction costs.
  • Assist in preparing questionnaires for the pre-qualification of design consultants and building contractors, and support the pre-qualification process to recommend a list of bidders.
  • Assist, monitor, and ensure timely submittals of all documents from Design Consultants to government departments until final permits are obtained for works to proceed and complete.
  • Coordinate with the regional/home office to obtain necessary technical support for design correctness and completeness.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

The Engineering Interface Engineer will inform themselves of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International. They will ensure continuous compliance with these requirements throughout their employment.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, contributing to projects managed by Hill International, Inc. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including Design Consultants, sub-consultants, and clients.

Additional Duties

The successful candidate will perform other duties as assigned by their line manager or supervisor, supporting the overall project objectives.
