About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking an Expert Frontend Engineer to serve as a senior technical authority. This full-time role involves designing complex and scalable frontend solutions, driving engineering standards, and ensuring technical excellence across digital applications. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide senior technical leadership in frontend engineering. This includes designing advanced frontend architectures and solutions, while also establishing and upholding high standards for performance, quality, and overall technical excellence within digital application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical authority for frontend engineering across web and mobile platforms.
• Design complex, scalable frontend architectures utilizing React for web and React Native for mobile.
• Define frontend engineering standards, patterns, reusable components, and shared design systems.
• Manage the cross-platform code sharing strategy to maximize reuse between web and mobile applications.
• Lead the technical implementation of complex features and modernization initiatives.
• Oversee mobile release engineering, including native build configuration and App Store / Google Play processes.
• Review complex code and technical designs to ensure quality and architectural alignment.
• Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability across platforms.
• Apply client-side security requirements for authentication, session handling, and sensitive data.
• Resolve critical and device-specific production issues.
• Ensure effective integration between frontend applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Evaluate frontend technologies, frameworks, and engineering approaches.
• Mentor frontend engineers and contribute to raising the technical bar within the team.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide engineering and architecture initiatives for frontend technologies.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in frontend engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing scalable frontend architectures.
• Proficiency with React for web development and React Native for mobile development.
• Experience in defining and implementing engineering standards and design systems.
• Familiarity with mobile release processes, including native build configurations and app store submissions.

Technical Skills

• Strong command of React and React Native.
• Ability to design and implement complex frontend solutions.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, accessibility, and security best practices for frontend applications.
• Experience with API integration and backend service communication.
