Financial Planning & Reporting Manager

About the Role

Wataniya Insurance Co. is seeking a Financial Planning & Reporting Manager. This full-time role involves leading the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance analysis activities. The manager will provide financial insights, evaluate business performance, conduct strategic analysis, and offer decision-support information to executive management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate company-wide budget submissions.
• Develop rolling forecasts and financial outlooks, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, conducting detailed variance analysis.
• Analyze profitability, revenue, underwriting results, expenses, and capital utilization.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reporting packs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports, ensuring timely delivery of management information.
• Collaborate with various departments including Underwriting, Actuarial, Sales, and Operations to translate initiatives into financial impacts.
• Prepare business cases, investment evaluations, and strategic financial analyses.
• Maintain financial planning and forecasting models and support enhancements to reporting tools and automation initiatives.
• Reconcile management reports with approved financial records and coordinate with other Finance functions to resolve variances.
• Manage, coach, and develop assigned team members, ensuring quality review procedures and continuous improvement.

Financial Performance Management

This role involves continuous monitoring of actual performance against financial targets, conducting detailed variance analysis, and identifying key business drivers. The manager will analyze profitability, revenue, underwriting results, expenses, and capital utilization, recommending performance improvement opportunities to management.

Management Reporting and Systems

The Financial Planning & Reporting Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reporting packs. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports, coordinating reporting timelines, and supporting Board and executive reporting requirements. The role also involves maintaining financial planning and forecasting models, developing enhancements to reporting tools, and supporting the implementation of advanced reporting solutions such as Power BI and Power Query.

Business Partnering and Leadership

The manager will collaborate with various business functions to translate operational initiatives into financial impacts and performance measures. This includes preparing business cases, investment evaluations, and strategic financial analyses, as well as supporting cost optimization and profitability enhancement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves managing, coaching, and developing team members, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring consistency and reliability of planning data and reporting outputs.

Experience Required

• Candidates should possess 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting.
