The Role

FlyAkeed is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to support the preparation, analysis, and review of financial reporting activities. This full-time role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial reporting experience, preferably from a leading audit firm, combined with solid Financial Management & Valuation (FM&V) knowledge and professional certification such as CMA.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Review financial information and accounting treatments to ensure compliance with applicable IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, Finance teams, and external auditors to address reporting requirements and audit queries.
• Support the year-end closing process and ensure timely completion of financial reporting activities.
• Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key performance indicators, providing insights to management.
• Assist in developing financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses as required.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures.
• Identify reporting risks and recommend improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
• Prepare presentations and financial analysis for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, financial reporting regulations, and best practices.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of total relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, financial management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an audit firm is required.
• Experience in Financial Management & Valuation (FM&V) is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Previous experience working with external auditors and managing audit requirements.

Professional Certifications

Professional certification such as CMA is preferred.
