About FlapKap and the Role

FlapKap is establishing a private direct financing fund in Saudi Arabia, which will be regulated by the Capital Market Authority (CMA). This fund aims to provide flexible, growth-focused financing to Saudi SMEs, supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objective of strengthening the SME sector and broadening access to finance. FlapKap is a fintech startup operating in the MENA region, backed by investors including QED, BECO Capital, A15, Outliers, and Nclude, with over $40 million USD in total financing. We are seeking a senior leader to serve as the Head of Asset Management & Managing Director for this new fund.

Role Overview

The Head of Asset Management & Managing Director will be responsible for building and leading the fund from its inception. This full-time position in Saudi Arabia involves establishing a CMA-regulated fund, leveraging FlapKap's technology, data-driven underwriting, and regional experience in SME financing. The role requires over 10 years of relevant experience. The fund is currently under establishment, pending approval from the Capital Market Authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the fund post-establishment, coordinating with legal, compliance, and group leadership.
• Develop the fund's investment strategy, credit policy, and risk framework for SME direct financing within the Saudi market.
• Raise capital and manage relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic partners in Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee portfolio origination, underwriting, monitoring, and collections processes.
• Represent the fund before the CMA, the board, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with CMA Investment Funds Regulations and the fund's governance framework.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated leadership in building and managing financial funds or similar entities.
• Experience with CMA regulations and the Saudi financial market is preferred.
