Role Overview: LEAD - HSE (PROJECT)

El Seif Engineering Contracting Company is seeking a LEAD - HSE (PROJECT) for a full-time position. This role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves supporting the development of KSA national employees, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and facilitating the adoption of systems within the function. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and implementing project safety and emergency plans, monitoring HSE compliance, and conducting incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of KSA national employees to achieve corporate objectives and Saudization targets.
• Conduct team affairs with high standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and company values across all employees, reinforcing a strong people culture and ethical business practices.
• Facilitate the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP within the function.
• Prepare and implement project Safety & Emergency Plan/Program.
• Monitor and ensure HSE orientation for new project employees is completed.
• Review method statements and ensure risk assessments are completed.
• Ensure HSE compliance during site setup or mobilization stages.
• Ensure and monitor the conduction of Safety toolbox meetings, HSE awareness sessions, and training.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and identify and ensure corrective actions are undertaken.
• Prepare and schedule site emergency drills, ensuring they are held as planned.
• Participate in and review Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and compliance with recommended controls.
• Review Material Safety Data Sheets and ensure compliance with their requirements.
• Ensure material handling and storage are conducted in an approved manner.
• Prepare project Lesson Learned Reports related to HSE.
• Conduct planned inspections, identify potential hazards, and ensure controls are in place.
• Prepare traffic plans for the site.
• Monitor waste management and ensure disposal as per the safety plan.
• Identify and ensure field HSE procedures, including work permits for hazardous jobs, are implemented if required.
• Conduct HSE audits and analyze trends.
• Manage the performance of the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
