Supervisor HSE

About the Role

Arabian Machinery and Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC) is seeking a Supervisor HSE to join their team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for coordinating the implementation of AMHEC's safety programs, preventing and correcting unsafe environmental working conditions, and providing essential support to management, supervisors, coordinators, and employees in executing their tasks safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Create HSE alerts and conduct awareness training, including awareness.
• Report all unsafe acts, conditions, and near misses.
• Support the maintenance, updating, and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Develop and implement training plans for AMHEC employees to ensure safe work practices.
• Assist with HSE internal audits as per the internal audit matrix.
• Prepare and conduct Toolbox Talks on various safety topics.
• Inspect worksites routinely to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Attend client HSE meetings and participate in monthly HSE client review meetings.
• Ensure management is aware of relevant HSE laws, regulations, and legislation within KSA.
• Prepare site visit reports and communicate findings to concerned departments and clients as required.
• Raise Stop Work Authority for unsafe acts or conditions and report to the Manager, QHSE.
• Take immediate corrective steps for unsafe workplace conditions or hazards within authority.
• Ensure timely investigation of incidents, identification of root causes, and assignment of corrective actions.
• Perform regular site visits to inspect equipment and interact with staff and Rig Managers/Site Coordinators.
• Familiarize employees with PPE requirements, proper wearing, storage, and maintenance.
• Provide clear direction to the QHSE team to meet targets and objectives aligned with AMHEC’s QHSE strategy.
• Support the Manager, QHSE and team in planning, coordinating, and implementing effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the HSE team to achieve objectives.
• Responsible for the development, performance appraisal, and succession planning of direct and indirect reports.
• Identify and monitor key HSE functional KPIs, devising plans for improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant HSE role.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and implement safety programs.
• Strong understanding of HSE laws, regulations, and legislation within KSA.
• Experience in conducting training, audits, and site inspections.

Work Environment and Travel

The nature of this role may require working beyond standard hours as needed. The position involves frequent travel, up to 50%, within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to AMHEC’s sites, yards, and branches. While prolonged periods of desk work and computer use are expected, the role also requires availability for walkabouts and inspections.
