Supervisor HSE

About the Role

Arabian Machinery and Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC) is seeking a Supervisor HSE to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role focuses on coordinating the implementation of AMHEC's safety programs and preventing unsafe environmental working conditions. The Supervisor HSE will provide essential support to management, supervisors, coordinators, and employees to ensure job tasks are executed safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of AMHEC safety programs.
• Create HSE alerts and conduct awareness training, including PPE awareness.
• Report unsafe acts, conditions, and near misses.
• Support the maintenance, updating, and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Develop and implement training plans for AMHEC employees to ensure safe work practices.
• Conduct routine worksite inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Prepare and conduct Toolbox Talks on various safety topics.
• Attend client HSE meetings and participate in monthly HSE client review meetings.
• Ensure management is aware of relevant HSE laws, regulations, and legislation within KSA.
• Prepare site visit reports and communicate with concerned departments and clients as required.
• Raise Stop Work Authority for unsafe acts or conditions and report to the Manager, QHSE.
• Take immediate corrective steps for unsafe workplace conditions or hazards within authority.
• Ensure timely investigation of assigned incidents, identification of root causes, and assignment of corrective actions.
• Provide clear direction and instructions to the QHSE team to meet targets and objectives aligned with AMHEC’s QHSE strategy.
• Support the Manager, QHSE and team in planning, coordinating, and implementing effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the QHSE Team to achieve objectives.
• Oversee the development, performance appraisal, and succession planning for direct and indirect reports.
• Promote a management and leadership style consistent with AMHEC’s values and strategic objectives.
• Identify potential successors for the position and implement developmental plans.
• Identify and monitor key QHSE Team functional KPIs and devise improvement plans.

HSE Responsibilities and Authority

• Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure the health, safety, and welfare of self and others.
• Ensure employee health and safety programs are developed, maintained, implemented, reviewed, and complied with.
• Identify Health, Safety, or Environmental risks and recommend/implement mitigation measures.
• Comply with established health and safety guidelines and procedures.
• Oversee and control process execution to ensure conformity with planned arrangements.
• Ensure appropriate monitoring and measurement activities are conducted to verify product/service requirements.
• Facilitate communication within teams.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Participate in internal audits as part of AMHEC’s internal audit program.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant HSE role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province. The role involves regular site visits and interaction with AMHEC staff, Rig Managers, and Site Coordinators.
