About the Role

ABIS is seeking a Lead Planner to join their team. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive management of project schedules, ensuring accurate reporting and proactive risk identification. The role involves overseeing planning activities for ABICON's scope of work and coordinating with various project stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Lead Planner develops, maintains, and reports on project schedules, specifically for ABICON's scope of work. This includes coordinating progress measurement activities and ensuring that all schedule-related risks are identified and effectively communicated to project management. The position requires a proactive approach to planning and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the baseline and progressive project schedule using Primavera P6 for ABICON's scope.
  • Supervise Planners and consolidate discipline-level schedules into an integrated master schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules based on site input and productivity data.
  • Conduct schedule variance and critical path analysis, highlighting potential delays and risks.
  • Prepare progress curves (S-curves), histograms, and comprehensive progress reports for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with construction, procurement, and engineering teams regarding schedule interfaces.
  • Support the development of what-if scenarios and recovery schedules.
  • Ensure consistent application of progress measurement methodology across all disciplines.
  • Support the preparation of weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules for site execution.
  • Coordinate schedule-related information for change orders and claims.
  • Present schedule status during progress meetings.
  • Maintain schedule documentation and historical records for lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and report on complex project schedules.
  • Experience in supervising planning teams and consolidating schedules.
