About the Role
Hill International (KSA) is seeking a Lead Planner to join its team on a full-time basis. This role is central to driving planning and schedule reporting specifically for the closeout portfolio. The assignment is scheduled to run until the end of 2026, with potential for extension based on project needs.
Role Purpose and Impact
The Lead Planner plays a crucial part in establishing schedule standards, developing integrated schedules, and delivering critical path analysis and progress reports. These contributions are essential for supporting informed closeout decisions across the portfolio. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and the timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage schedule reporting and define the reporting cycle for the closeout portfolio.
- Establish planning standards, coding requirements, and schedule templates.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for demobilization, preservation, and closeout activities.
- Prepare comprehensive schedule forecasts, including milestones, activities, and closure dates.
- Conduct critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule health assessments.
- Lead schedule review meetings with project, construction, and stakeholder teams.
- Assess schedule updates for accuracy, logical consistency, and reported progress.
- Consolidate individual contract schedules into a unified portfolio view, identifying cross-contract dependencies.
- Identify schedule slippage, constraints, and forecast changes, evaluating their impact on closeout objectives.
- Provide schedule substantiation for claims, disputes, and final account reviews.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in planning and scheduling.
- At least 10 years of this experience must be on major projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
- Demonstrated experience on mega-projects involving multi-billion SAR portfolios and a high volume of contracts.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, AACE, or similar professional certification is preferred.
- Experience in forensic planning and delay analysis is desirable.
- Prior experience working with Owner, IPMT, PMC, or major program teams is considered an asset.
