About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a PHD Peer Reviewer specializing in Plant Sciences to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable part-time position that supports remote work. The role involves critically evaluating academic manuscripts to ensure their quality and scientific rigor before publication.

Responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of manuscripts, determining if they present original research and contribute new knowledge or insights to the field of plant sciences.
• Evaluate the study design and methodology to ensure they are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly described for reproducibility.
• Conduct a thorough literature review to confirm that the manuscript incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze results and conclusions, verifying that data is presented clearly and that conclusions are supported by the evidence and are significant to the field.
• Provide constructive feedback, suggesting improvements and highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns within the manuscript.
• Formulate a recommendation for publication (acceptance, revision, or rejection) based on a comprehensive evaluation, which will inform the journal editor's final decision.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A doctoral degree (PHD) in Plant Sciences or a closely related field.
• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in academic research or peer review within plant sciences.
• Demonstrated expertise in evaluating scientific manuscripts for originality, methodology, and data interpretation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills for providing clear and constructive feedback.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position that offers the flexibility of remote work. The role is based in Saudi Arabia, allowing professionals to contribute from various locations.
