Quality Control Supervisor Manufacturing & Rotating Equipment

About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor - Manufacturing & Rotating Equipment to join the Industrial and Energy Technology (IET) Team. This full-time role involves overseeing quality control processes within manufacturing and rotating equipment operations. The IET team operates across 120 countries, serving the entire energy value chain and industrial sector with a portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology, and lifecycle services.

Role Context

The Quality Control Supervisor will be an integral part of the Engineering Transformation team, which focuses on enhancing the quality of engineering processes. This position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, specifically in manufacturing and rotating equipment, to lead a team of quality inspectors and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and guiding quality inspectors, including task assignment, monitoring daily activities, and ensuring team productivity.
• Providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Attending pre-inspection meetings and managing punch list closure meetings with customers.
• Ensuring the completeness and on-time delivery of quality records according to applicable requirements.
• Partnering with the production team to ensure smooth Cell operations and compliance with all applicable procedures.
• Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to manufacturing quality issues.
• Monitoring quality control metrics for observations/punch lists found during execution phases and taking appropriate actions.
• Driving cross-functional improvement projects for operational processes using lean methods to achieve flawless execution and eliminate waste related to escaping defects and observations/punch lists.
• Leading quality Tool Box awareness for the production team.
• Ensuring effective implementation of Quality Control processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing and rotating equipment.
• Experience leading a team of quality inspectors.
• Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification.
• ISO9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification.
