About the Role
Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor to oversee daily quality control activities across all site disciplines. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Role Overview
The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for supervising QC Inspectors, coordinating the execution of inspection and test plans, and ensuring the consistent application of quality standards and procedures throughout the site. This role supports the QC Manager in maintaining quality performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of QC Inspectors across all disciplines.
- Ensure inspections, tests, and hold points are executed according to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Review daily QC inspection reports and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
- Coordinate hold point notifications and inspection scheduling with client/third-party inspectors.
- Support the QC Manager in managing the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and corrective actions.
- Conduct quality walkdowns and spot-check inspections across active work fronts.
- Verify calibration and control of inspection and test equipment used by the QC team.
- Coordinate training and technical guidance for QC Inspectors on inspection procedures and standards.
- Liaise with construction supervision to resolve quality-related work front issues.
- Support preparation and compilation of quality documentation for handover dossiers.
- Report quality performance, trends, and issues to the QC Manager.
- Support internal quality audits and readiness for client/third-party audits.
Performance Indicators
Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Number and severity of non-conformances (NCRs).
- Inspection schedule and hold point compliance.
- First-time inspection pass rate across disciplines.
- Timely closure of NCRs and punch-list items.
- Quality of QC team documentation and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant quality assurance or quality control role.
