About Arla Foods and the Role

Arla Foods is seeking a dedicated and experienced Merchandising Team Leader to join our team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing merchandising operations and leading a team to ensure product visibility and sales effectiveness within the assigned region.

Key Merchandising Responsibilities

• Ensure the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) concept is consistently applied on-shelf and products are displayed according to established Planograms.
• Manage merchandising routes and support merchandisers in developing creative displays and in-store activities.
• Drive the effective usage and communication of Point of Sale Materials (POSM).
• Ensure adherence to allocated shelf space as per contract, and work to develop and maintain shelf share, display share, and strong customer relationships.
• Drive promotional events and merchandising activities, including festivals and in-store promotions.
• Frequently review merchandisers' route optimization to ensure excellent in-store merchandising execution aligns with Perfect Store standards.
• Manage business tools such as merchandising follow-ups, company policies, visiting schedules, own deliveries and execution planning, and the merchandiser’s manual.
• Track trade reports and communicate findings effectively with the sales team.
• Execute any other sales and merchandising work-related tasks as required.

Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise, motivate, inspire, develop, and lead a team of merchandisers.
• Manage, coach, and train a multicultural team of merchandisers located across various depots within a specific area.
• Provide on-job training and motivation for merchandisers to enhance their performance.
• Conduct initial evaluations by driving with merchandisers.
• Follow up on merchandisers' payroll and vacation schedules.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

• Act as a key liaison between the Marketing/Sales and Logistic Departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of merchandising strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the FMCG Merchandising & Sales field.

• Fluent in both verbal and written Arabic and English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
