About the Opportunity

Arla Foods is seeking a dedicated Merchandising Team Leader to join our team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for driving effective in-store product presentation and sales support across the region. We are looking for a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience in merchandising leadership.

Role Overview

The Merchandising Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of merchandisers, ensuring optimal product display, adherence to merchandising standards, and effective execution of promotional activities. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and fostering strong relationships with customers to maximize shelf and display share within a specific area.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, inspire, develop, and lead the merchandisers team, providing on-job training and support.
• Ensure strict application of the FIFO concept on-shelf and compliance with Planogram guidelines for product display.
• Manage merchandising operations, including follow-ups, company policies, visiting schedules, execution planning, and initial merchandiser evaluations.
• Oversee personal merchandising routes and assist the team in creating innovative displays and in-store activities.
• Monitor merchandisers' payroll and vacation schedules.
• Drive the effective use and communication of Point of Sale Materials (POSM).
• Ensure adherence to allocated space as per contract, and actively work to develop and maintain shelf share, display share, and customer relationships.
• Plan and execute promotional events and merchandising activities, such as festivals and in-store promotions.
• Regularly review and optimize merchandiser routes to ensure excellent in-store execution aligned with Perfect Store standards.
• Coach and train a multicultural team of merchandisers located across various depots within the designated area.
• Act as a key liaison between the Marketing, Sales, and Logistic Departments.
• Track trade reports and maintain effective communication with the sales team.
• Support other sales and merchandising-related tasks as required.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in merchandising, with proven leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of merchandising principles, including FIFO, Planogram execution, and POSM utilization.
• Experience in managing promotional events and in-store activities.
• Proficiency in managing business tools and operational planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments and customers.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing and coaching a multicultural team of merchandisers operating across various depots within a specific geographical area, requiring regular field presence and coordination.
