Position Overview

Abdullah A. Barrak & Sons Co. is seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time role requires a strong background in Chemical/Process Engineering and extensive experience within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading process engineering activities across various projects.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, strict compliance with industry standards, and successful project execution. This encompasses all phases of engineering, design, and commissioning. The role is critical in driving the efficiency and safety of our projects, particularly within the demanding Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and EPC sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and EPC projects.
• Review and approve process design deliverables, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process simulations, and engineering studies.
• Ensure compliance with process safety standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate actively in HAZOP, HAZID, and other critical safety review activities.
• Provide essential technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review vendor documents and technical submissions to ensure adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong academic background in Chemical or Process Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry is required. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to lead complex process engineering initiatives and ensure successful project outcomes.

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail. The role involves working within a dynamic project-oriented environment, collaborating with various engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
