PaxOcean is seeking a Commercial Manager to support its commercial operations in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ship repairs, conversions, and the fabrication of marine and offshore structural blocks within the region.

Role Overview

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets. The role involves significant client engagement, tender management, and ensuring contractual compliance within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's marine and offshore sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve commercial strategies aligned with marine and offshore project trends in the Middle East, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia.
• Execute commercial strategies to meet revenue and margin targets for ship repairs, conversions, and fabrications.
• Establish new client pools and manage vendor registration processes for marine and offshore customers operating in KSA.
• Follow up with new clients to promote supply base capabilities and service support to generate new revenue streams.
• Handle customer inquiries and manage competitive quotations/tariffs.
• Follow up on tenders with customers and agents, and negotiate contracts/projects.
• Perform estimating and commercial invoicing within KSA.
• Manage client relationships and submit work done reports.
• Collaborate with the PaxOcean Saudi Operations team to maintain optimal critical inventory levels for materials and consumables.
• Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to and understand contractual obligations, and identify process violations.
• Assess risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Provide functional and management support for change management, including negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders with clients.
• Review existing company procedures and policies on commercial management and provide constructive feedback for refinement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant commercial experience in a shipyard environment.
• A strong understanding of the Saudi Maritime Business is essential, with Middle East centric experience preferred.
• Experience in team management.
