Database Administrator (DBA)

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise database environments, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL.

Role Overview

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the comprehensive management and maintenance of various database systems. This includes ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of critical database infrastructure within an enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standard DBA activities including database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning.
• Manage users, roles, permissions, and database security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and reliability.
• Maintain database documentation, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams on database-related requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise database environments.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL.
