About Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA)

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician Maintenance to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al Jubail, and is part of the SA Pool managed from the UAE. The role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance of electrical systems within the plant operations.

Role Overview

The Electrical Technician Maintenance is responsible for performing a comprehensive range of duties related to the electrical installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various machinery, equipment, and fixtures. The primary objective is to ensure their efficient operation with minimum downtime, while strictly complying with EHS Guidelines and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all electrical equipment breakdowns, including LV-MV motors, LV Switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS, VFD, breakers, and soft starters.
• Execute planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Identify and report any operational abnormalities in electrical systems.
• Perform necessary repairs and replacements, re-assemble and test equipment, ensuring the work area is clean upon completion.
• Technically assess job requirements and select appropriate tools and equipment for completion.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and failures of plant and equipment effectively.
• Utilize the computerized maintenance system (SAP) for ordering spare parts and maintaining accurate records of all completed maintenance work.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to established safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
• Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend suitable modifications to resolve persistent issues.
• Share plant and equipment knowledge with newly joined electricians, craft trainees, and contractors to support their maintenance tasks.
• Actively participate in 5S, Business Excellence, and Safety Initiatives to continuously enhance EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance.
• Provide assistance to other departments for equipment repair and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in electrical installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia (Al Jubail). The role is part of the Saudi Arabia talent pool, with administrative oversight from the UAE.
