About the Role

Advanced Petrochemical Company is seeking a Lawyer to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to provide comprehensive legal advisory and support services, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating business operations through robust contract management, legal documentation, and corporate governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
Providing legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
Ensuring compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Supporting the management of disputes, claims, and litigation in coordination with external legal counsel.
Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions, memoranda, and recommendations.
Supporting corporate governance activities, including board and committee matters.
Maintaining contract templates, legal registers, and legal documentation systems.
Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, HR, Finance, and Operations, on legal matters.
Participating in legal risk assessments and mitigation initiatives across the organization.
Supporting the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) is required.
A Master's Degree in Law (LLM) is preferred.
A minimum of 4–7 years of relevant experience within the Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industry or a reputable law firm.

Legal Knowledge: Solid understanding of Saudi laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is preferred.
Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex legal matters and provide sound recommendations.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in legal documentation and contract review.
Commercial Awareness: Understanding of business operations and the commercial implications of legal decisions.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Risk Management: Strong awareness of legal and compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
