Abdullah A. Barrak & Sons Co. is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is critical for driving technical excellence in piping engineering across our projects within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

Role Overview

The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing all piping engineering activities. This role requires a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry, ensuring compliance with international standards and successful project execution from initial design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee piping engineering activities for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
Review and approve piping design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
Manage piping engineering teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and relevant project specifications.
Review piping layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, material specifications, and stress analysis reports.
Provide technical support during engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.
Review vendor documents, technical submissions, and engineering calculations.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, schedule, and cost requirements.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and technical meetings with clients and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

A strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
Extensive experience of 10+ years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
Demonstrated ability to lead piping engineering activities and manage project teams.

Technical Expertise

The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of piping design principles, industry codes, and standards. This includes a deep understanding of ASME, API, ANSI, and other relevant project specifications, alongside proven proficiency in reviewing complex technical documentation, calculations, and vendor submissions.
