The Role of Site Mechanical Engineer

ABIS is seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time role is specialized in Shutdown and Turnaround projects. The successful candidate will oversee mechanical operations during scheduled shutdown and turnaround activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and meets all quality standards. The position involves coordinating with various teams, monitoring mechanical system performance, inspecting equipment, and providing essential technical support to guarantee the seamless execution of critical maintenance activities. This role requires proactive problem-solving and strong leadership to manage onsite mechanical engineering tasks in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical engineering tasks during shutdown and turnaround projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve mechanical issues on site.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and communicate with project stakeholders regularly.
• Assist in resource planning and allocation to meet project timelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Site Mechanical Engineer, with a focus on Shutdown and Turnaround projects.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee mechanical operations, conduct inspections, and ensure quality control.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to provide technical expertise in challenging environments.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. The role involves working on site during critical shutdown and turnaround periods.
