The Opportunity

TASNEE is seeking a Mechanical Specialist II to join its team in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of various mechanical systems within the facility.

Role Summary

The Mechanical Specialist II is responsible for developing procedures, conducting detailed inspections, and creating equipment-specific inspection and preventive maintenance checklists. This role also involves formulating maintenance, repair, and overhauling plans for critical assets such as Diesel engines, Lifting Equipment (including overhead cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers), and HVAC systems. Additionally, the specialist will develop Scopes of Work (SOW), review spare parts, perform technical evaluations of proposals and Annual Rated Contracts (ARC), conduct Risk Assessments (PH&A), and evaluate Management of Change (MOC) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of Diesel engines, HVAC systems, and lifting equipment, providing repair recommendations.
  • Develop equipment/system-specific task lists, PM Plans, Criticality & Technical Integrity (CTI)/Technical Risk Assessment (TRA), and procedures for Diesel engines, HVAC, and lifting equipment.
  • Prepare Scopes of Work (SOW) for repair activities, Turnaround Maintenance (TAM), and Annual Rated Contracts (ARC).
  • Perform technical evaluations of contracts and proposals.
  • Evaluate materials required for maintenance and repair works.
  • Conduct survey and condition-based inspections for Diesel engines, HVAC, lifting equipment, and other department-scope related systems.

Technical and Operational Duties

  • Review spare parts and initiate requests for spare parts/Material Data Governance (MDG).
  • Conduct Risk Assessments, Root Cause Analysis, and incident investigations.
  • Prepare comprehensive failure reports.
  • Prepare Capital Expenses Budget (Capex) proposals.
  • Review and update engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Manage Management of Change (MOC) processes, including initiation, evaluation, Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA), Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), Clearance for Operation (CFO), and MOC closeout.
  • Perform criticality assessment and revaluation of assets, and implement reliability and integrity actions for department-scope equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise project handover/takeover activities, ensuring proper record-keeping, updates, and equipment master data uploading in SAP.
  • Serve as the onsite lead during critical work or operational conditions.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and inspection roles within an industrial setting.
