Role Overview

Nama Chemicals Co. is seeking a skilled Technician, Millwright for a contract position based in Al Jubail. This role is critical for performing daily maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant without interruption. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and documentation of various rotary and static equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance activities according to Standard Maintenance Procedures, ensuring high quality and reasonable completion times.
• Properly fill and record maintenance checklists, maintaining proper housekeeping after activity completion.
• Provide feedback to the supervisor on any findings or abnormalities during job performance.
• Respond to operation and maintenance activities, including both normal and emergency cases.
• Execute preventive maintenance across all types of rotary equipment, including pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.
• Execute shutdown maintenance in static equipment, encompassing column cleaning, column tray inspection, and installation of trays.
• Operate, maintain, and repair basic machine tools such as grinding, drilling, and tapping tools.

Equipment Expertise

The role requires comprehensive expertise in the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of industrial equipment, including:

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and screw pumps.
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw type compressors, as well as air blowers.
• Performing alignment in rotating equipment and replacing bearings in rotary equipment.
• Installation and repair of mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps and agitators.
• Servicing various types of valves, such as ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, and diaphragm valves, and repacking gland packings.
• Installation, removal, and fabrication of gaskets.
• Performing repair and maintenance of bagging machine equipment.

Safety and Compliance

Adherence to safety and quality standards is a core aspect of this position. The Technician, Millwright will:

• Comply with Nama Chemicals' policies and safety procedures, contributing to achieving target EHS rates.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures and NAMA ISO certified standards.
• Learn and practice safety procedures, emergency response protocols, safety suggestions, and good housekeeping practices.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record in industrial maintenance. Essential requirements include:

• Between 8 to 12 years of experience as a Technician, Millwright or in a closely related maintenance role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the technical tasks and responsibilities outlined above.
• Willingness to be available for on-call duty if assigned.
• Commitment to attending on-the-job and classroom training sessions, as well as other scheduled training programs.
