About the Role

TALEMIA التعليمية is seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychologist to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This contract role focuses on comprehensive psychological assessment, identifying beneficiary capabilities across cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral domains. The successful candidate will be instrumental in resolving or mitigating challenging behaviors, thoughts, and motivations, while enhancing social skills and overall mental well-being through various psychological methods and behavior modification strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and measurements using accredited official tools, including intelligence scales, adaptive behavior scales, and diagnostic scales for developmental, psychological, and mood disorders.
  • Evaluate psychological disorders and behavioral problems through observation, interviews, and the application of psychological tests and scales, then formulate appropriate treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Analyze problems and provide training on effective strategies for psychotherapy and the regulation of behavior and emotions for beneficiaries of all ages and diverse needs.
  • Deliver individual or group therapy sessions as required.
  • Utilize diverse therapeutic methods grounded in psychotherapy theories and behavior modification, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Provide psychological services to beneficiaries experiencing learning difficulties, anxiety, phobia, depression, aggressive behavior, eating disorders, physical and mental developmental delays, or behavioral changes resulting from severe trauma or abuse.
  • Prepare detailed psychological reports covering health, social, family, behavioral, and academic aspects, clinical observations, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with other specialists and beneficiaries' families, providing updates and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings at the primary clinic.
  • Liaise with the medical clinic to monitor the impact of medications on beneficiary behavior.
  • Prepare and enter reports into the beneficiary's file and medical information system, and submit necessary statistics and reports.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of beneficiary information and privacy.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of specialization.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in applying and interpreting accredited psychological scales and tests; ability to prepare professional and accurate psychological and behavioral reports; skilled in conducting psychological interviews, case studies, data collection, and analysis.
  • Administrative Skills: Ability to implement unit/department/center policies and procedures; safe use and maintenance of equipment; proficiency in using technical systems; achieving individual educational plan objectives; monitoring beneficiary satisfaction; training families on home-based plan objectives; documenting sessions in electronic HIS files; preparing reports and statistics; effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; requesting and providing technical consultations; improving and developing programs based on technical knowledge and assessment results; implementing individual and group programs; contributing to developmental suggestions.
  • Personal Skills: Effective communication with beneficiaries, families, and colleagues; high professionalism and confidentiality in handling psychological cases; patience, flexibility, and ability to manage behavioral and emotional challenges; strong persuasion skills and ability to build positive professional relationships; resilience under work pressure and sound decision-making.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of psychological and behavioral disorders and their characteristics; familiarity with various psychological theories, treatment methods, and interventions; knowledge of psychological diagnosis fundamentals and treatment plan development; expertise in accredited psychological scales, their application, and interpretation; awareness of professional regulations, instructions, and ethical practices in psychology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychological assessment, therapy, or behavior modification.
  • One year of internship or training completed in a hospital or rehabilitation center.
  • Possession of a valid professional classification/license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Scope of Authority

  • Administrative: Organize and schedule case appointments according to the approved work plan; coordinate with relevant departments for service delivery; submit periodic reports and observations to direct management; request necessary resources for task performance; participate in technical and administrative meetings related to cases and service quality.
  • Technical: Apply accredited psychological scales and tests in accordance with approved regulations and policies; prepare psychological and behavioral reports and provide technical recommendations; propose appropriate treatment plans and behavior modification programs; participate in case assessment and diagnosis within the multidisciplinary team; offer psychological awareness and guidance to beneficiaries and their families; document sessions and psychological services in the center's approved systems; report technical observations to direct management.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. The role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychological services.
