PWHT Technician

About the Role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a PWHT Technician to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The PWHT Technician will be responsible for performing Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) operations in accordance with approved procedures and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work in a safe and alert manner, maintaining awareness of potential hazards.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure good housekeeping practices.
• Execute PWHT processes in liaison with approved procedural requirements.
• Identify the correct gauge and placement of heating elements, as well as the placement and number of thermocouples, according to approved procedures.
• Determine the required widths for heating bands, soaking bands, and insulation bands as per approved procedures.
• Set up the recorder with specified chart speed requirements and all necessary connections.
• Ensure adherence to heating, soaking, and cooling rate requirements, including control system parameters, as outlined in approved procedures.
• Conduct necessary demonstrations in line with project-specific approved procedures.
• Read PWHT charts and fulfill reporting requirements according to approved procedures.
• Verify joint details as per client requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Basic communication skills.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a commitment to safety and adherence to established operational procedures within an industrial setting.
