About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a dedicated Room Service Waiter / Waitress to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in a hospitality setting. The primary scope of this role involves serving food and beverages to guests in the assigned outlet, providing a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service consistent with the hotel's standards and Kempinski’s DNA values. The aim is to encourage sales and maximize guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.

Key Service Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring a courteous, professional, and efficient service at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
• Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the department, including the ability to explain and perform upselling, as well as offering alternatives.
• Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, and report guest complaints and feedback to supervisors immediately, ensuring follow-up is performed with the guest.
• Ensure that food and beverage service is available for all hotel rooms and suites, adhering to correct service procedures as per outlined standards of performance.

Operational Duties

• Report to duty punctually, wearing the correct, clean, and well-pressed uniform, including appropriate polished shoes and nametag, at all times according to the hotel's dress code and Kempinski grooming standards.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Perform all duties and tasks as required at the outlet, including successfully executing established opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor operating supplies and equipment to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area are kept clean and organized.
• Operate the existing POS system based on the trained responsibility level assigned within the department.
• Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
• Ensure effective communication between the Kitchen, Order Taker, and service team members.

Professional Conduct and Compliance

• Understand and strictly adhere to the rules and regulations established in the hotel’s policy manual, as well as the hotel’s policies on fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the assigned department and within the hotel.
• Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental trainings, and hotel-initiated trainings as scheduled.
• Project a positive and motivated attitude, exercising self-control at all times.
• Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head and respond to any changes in the department as dictated by hotel management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a room service or similar food and beverage service role within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated ability to provide courteous, professional, and efficient service.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
