About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a full-time position with their client, a company specializing in design and build projects. This role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, and involves contributing to significant projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and related chemical industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete project cycle, encompassing basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Resolve operational and design-related issues.
• Perform specialized electrical design tasks related to Project Definition Phase (PDP), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Engineering (DE).
• Conduct design activities during the pre-tender stage.
• Oversee scheduling, man-hour control, productivity, and status reporting for projects.
• Execute ETAP modeling.
• Provide support to the Procurement department in meetings with clients and vendors.
• Interpret project standards and specifications, analyze exceptions from vendors, and offer technical and engineering support for electrical issues.
• Apply comprehensive and in-depth knowledge essential for all activities related to the development and review of electrical engineering deliverables during the basic and detailed engineering phases of major projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of overall experience in electrical engineering.
• At least 10 years of this experience must be with recognized international FEED/EPC multinational corporations (MNCs).
• Demonstrated experience in performing electrical engineering for the construction of greenfield and brownfield facilities within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related chemical industries.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Deep knowledge of relevant international codes, including IEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA, and PIP.
• Proficiency in industry standards, practices, and regulations.
• Up-to-date understanding of the latest technical developments within the field of electrical engineering.
• Experience in the complete project cycle (basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support) for greenfield and brownfield projects is highly preferred.
