Electrical Technician

About the Role

Saudi Tabreed District Cooling Company is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing essential electrical maintenance and repair activities, ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of electrical systems and equipment.

Role Summary

The primary objective of this role is to conduct comprehensive electrical maintenance and repair, including troubleshooting electrical systems, executing both corrective and preventive maintenance, and actively assisting in the installation and commissioning of various electrical equipment. The technician will work to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities: Electrical Maintenance

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with applicable safety and maintenance standards to ensure system availability.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities on electrical systems, including testing, cleaning, and lubrication, to ensure electrical equipment operates properly according to established specifications, in coordination with the operations team.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment in plants according to established schedules and maintenance cycles to avoid system/equipment issues.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Utilize electrical testing equipment and tools to perform accurate measurements and assessments.
• Highlight major maintenance requirements to the supervisor to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested/accepted timeframe.

Key Responsibilities: Installation and Commissioning

• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and assist in the installation to ensure proper installation and connection of equipment.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Foreman and other technicians in planning and executing installation projects.
• Verify and ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards during installation activities.
• Calibrate electrical instruments and devices, such as meters, gauges, and controllers, to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning within a relevant industry. A strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and diagnostic tools is essential.
