Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position is integral to projects within the Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Power industries, operating within an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environment.

Role Summary

The Lead Electrical Engineer will lead the Electrical discipline, actively participating in proposal and bidding processes. This role provides essential technical support during construction and commissioning phases as required. Engineering is a core expertise, demanding active daily involvement during the engineering phase on single or multiple projects on a shared basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and control all engineering activities for the Electrical discipline.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and support team building exercises.
  • Proactively highlight any issues or problems to management to enable timely remedial action.
  • Actively participate in progress review meetings, technical meetings, client meetings, and vendor meetings.
  • Support Procurement-related activities such as raising Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Clarification/Evaluation (TBC/TBE), and Draft Purchase Requisitions.
  • Support the bidding team by raising RFQs, conducting technical evaluation of bids, and performing cost estimation.
  • Support construction by responding to construction site-related technical queries (tQ).
  • Review and comment on GES plus engineering deliverables on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ensure the safety and quality of deliverables.
  • Participate in Value Engineering practices such as value engineering, lessons learned sessions, Risk Assessment/Management Studies and workshops, and Constructability studies and workshops.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and appreciation, thereby enhancing the company's reputation and image, and facilitating repeated orders and goodwill.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BS, BE, or B Tech), complemented by relevant training and certification courses.
  • A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Power Industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with GES plus/EPC Contractors on Saudi Aramco jobs, SABIC, and other reputed organizations.
  • Experience attending Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)/Site Acceptance Test (SAT) activities and supporting pre-commissioning activities.

Work Environment

This role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, and operates within a full-time capacity. The work involves active engagement in an EPC environment, collaborating with various disciplines and stakeholders across multiple projects in critical industrial sectors.
