Repair and Maintenance Specialist II Logging While Drilling Services(LWD)

About the Role

Weatherford is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Specialist II for Logging While Drilling Services (LWD) to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves contributing to the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance for LWD product line equipment. The specialist will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to establish a reliable system and maintenance team, and will also coordinate workload with Repair and Maintenance Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

The primary activities for this position are workshop-based, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, and implementing mandatory modifications. The specialist will execute and plan preventive and corrective maintenance for field equipment and tools to reduce asset-related non-productive time and enhance overall field service delivery. Occasional travel to client locations may be required for on-site R&M tasks.

Core Duties

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment using both manual and computerized methods.
• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by offering feedback based on field experiences.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture within the team.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.
• Stay informed about technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in repair and maintenance, particularly within Logging While Drilling Services. A strong understanding of LWD tools and systems is essential, along with the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a workshop setting in Al Khobar, with potential requirements for field operations at client locations. The role involves working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of LWD services.
