About the Role

Kent is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This is a full-time position, requiring 48 hours per week. The role involves managing accounting entries, invoices, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate deadlines and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting entries to ensure accuracy and adherence to corporate deadlines.
  • Oversee invoice preparation to ensure timely processing and compliance with commercial contract terms.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and analysis of financial results.
  • Effectively manage the accounting team.
  • Calculate billing and cost rates, and analyze margins to manage profitability.
  • Prepare and manage quarterly budgets and forecasts in collaboration with Business Management and the Finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with the financial management framework within the individual’s sphere of control.
  • Focus on cash collection, optimization of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and minimization of unbilled items, ensuring these balance sheet areas are reconciled, analyzed, and controlled.
  • Liaise with external, internal, and client auditors.
  • Coordinate with the business manager and contracts administrator regarding contractual aspects.
  • Execute various ad hoc financial analyses and tasks as required.
  • Assess IFRS applicability and compliance for projects in line with the latest standards and company accounting policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Further education through College or University with a recognized accounting qualification.
  • Preferably a Qualified CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent.
  • SOCPA Membership is required.
  • A total of 5-10 years of experience, including 3-4 years in project accounting.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Big 4 experience is preferable.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Proven people supervision and management skills.
  • Good commercial knowledge.
  • Experience with financial systems (*, Oracle Cloud).
  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication.
