The Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer Role

Asrar Architecture & Engineering Consultants Group is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join its team. This full-time, on-site role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, and involves leading the design and analysis of civil and structural elements for various building and infrastructure projects. The position requires a professional committed to technical excellence and collaborative project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs, resolve technical issues, and support project delivery schedules.
• Oversee junior engineers and designers, including checking CAD and AutoCAD outputs.
• Participate in design reviews and provide guidance on construction methods and materials.
• Actively involve in quality assurance processes, risk assessments, and value engineering to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in civil or structural design engineering.
• Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards, and experience in applying them to practical design solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to guide junior team members and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration (*, PE or equivalent) is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders within a dynamic consultancy environment focused on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for construction and infrastructure projects.
