About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Control Engineer for a full-time position with their client in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading instrumentation and control engineering activities across projects within the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, power plant, and refinery sectors. Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

• Leading and overseeing Instrumentation & Control engineering activities for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
• Managing and coordinating all I&C deliverables during Study, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
• Serving as the primary focal point for client interactions, technical discussions, and project coordination.
• Developing, reviewing, and approving instrumentation engineering documents, drawings, specifications, and datasheets.
• Leading the design, specification, and integration of DCS, SIS, and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems.
• Reviewing and approving instrument index, I/O lists, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, control philosophies, and cause & effect matrices.

Project Focus and Technical Expertise

The engineer will also be responsible for:

• Providing technical expertise in analyzer systems and associated instrumentation packages.
• Supporting Brownfield projects, including plant modifications, revamps, upgrades, and tie-in activities.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Identifying technical risks and proposing effective engineering solutions to maintain project schedules and quality standards.

Collaboration and Compliance

This position requires active engagement in:

• Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and construction personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Conducting technical reviews, design verification, and engineering quality checks.
• Ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and applicable client specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with HCIS (SAIS) directives related to Industrial Security, Fire Protection, and Safety Systems.
• Participating in technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and procurement support activities.
• Supporting construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities as required.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, power plant, or refinery industries.
