About the Role

Otis is seeking a Service Technician to join their team in Al Khobar and Dhahran. This full-time role involves performing planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs, and corrective maintenance on elevator and escalator equipment. The technician will independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults, ensuring equipment is restored safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs, and corrective maintenance on elevator and escalator equipment.
Independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults, and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
Respond promptly to call-backs, conduct systematic fault finding and root-cause analysis, complete necessary repairs, and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat call-backs and improve equipment reliability.
Monitor units with high call-back rates, recurring faults, or critical conditions, identify underlying issues, and recommend suitable corrective and preventive actions.
Identify and report abnormalities, worn or defective components, missing parts, safety concerns, and other equipment deficiencies during PPM, call-backs, or routine inspections.
Proactively identify opportunities for repairs, replacement of defective or obsolete components, upgrades, and modernization during maintenance visits, call-backs, troubleshooting, and inspections.
Provide clear technical findings and recommendations to support T-Lead generation, quotations, and additional business opportunities, ensuring recommendations are based on actual equipment condition and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Line Operators and relevant support teams to ensure call-backs are attended to within defined service-level requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets, log cards, maintenance JHA, OSA forms, SVR sheets, and other required service records.
Ensure all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities comply with OTIS safe working procedures, WWJSSS requirements, client site regulations, and required PPE standards.
Support and guide junior mechanics during service and maintenance activities, helping improve their technical, troubleshooting, and safety skills.
Maintain professional communication with customers, explain technical findings appropriately, and help build customer confidence through effective troubleshooting, reliable service, and value-added recommendations.
Immediately report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and other safety concerns to the Supervisor.

Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical service role.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults independently.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to elevator and escalator maintenance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar and Dhahran, requiring on-site work to perform maintenance and repairs on elevator and escalator equipment.
