Technical Advisor Process

About the Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Technical Advisor Process to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves leading process engineering activities for medium to large-scale projects, from conceptual design through detailed engineering, with a focus on upstream Oil and Gas facilities. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and ensure design integrity within the process engineering scope.

Role Overview

The Technical Advisor Process will function as a Lead Process Engineer, responsible for the design of process units, pipelines, utilities, and offsite facilities. This position requires a thorough understanding of process engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, and international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 10-15 Process Engineers and related discipline engineers and designers.
• Scope projects, including defining process deliverables.
• Review and approve process deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, Design Basis, Process Narratives, Process Calculations, and Equipment Specification documents.
• Review and approve process engineering work plans and basis of design documents.
• Estimate work-hours for process engineering tasks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team and clients.
• Ensure design integrity of the process engineering scope, manage staff performance, and deliver work on schedule and within budget.
• Lead technical presentations to clients and their representatives as required.
• Serve as a technical resource for Process Engineers and related discipline engineers and designers.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure correct application of applicable procedures and standards (client, KBR, and international).

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in upstream Oil and Gas Facilities Design.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HYSYS simulation for upstream Oil and Gas projects.
• Proven experience in the design of process units, pipelines, utilities, and offsite facilities.
• Thorough knowledge of projects/process engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in HYSYS simulation software.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern, with KBR, Inc. The role involves leading a team of process engineers and collaborating with various discipline engineers and designers on complex upstream Oil and Gas projects.
