The Role: System Operation Specialist

Almarai is seeking a System Operation Specialist to join its team in Al-Kharj. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of all automated and non-automated warehousing materials handling equipment and systems. The specialist will play a key role in meeting Almarai’s business requirements through diligent system management and maintenance. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repair and maintenance of automated material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults within systems.
• Provide support to installation teams during the preparation and installation of automatic materials handling equipment.
• Assist operations with the recovery and resolution of both short-term and long-term faults and stoppages.
• Conduct reporting and follow-up on breakdown resolutions to ensure effective problem-solving.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience with industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC programming, such as Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, or Schneider.
• Experience in control systems design, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to plan and organize multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
