About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Cook II to join the team in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This full-time position involves preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring a high level of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food items.
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, and accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist.
Prepare cold food items as required.
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
Test foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently and monitor food quality during preparation.
Set up and break down the work station, and serve food in proper portions using appropriate receptacles.
Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Communicate with colleagues using clear and professional language, develop positive working relationships, and support the team to achieve common goals.
Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees, and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
