About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Assistant, Bar Sorter to join our operations team in Dammam. This full-time position is crucial for supporting the efficient and accurate processing of materials within our production facility.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Assistant, Bar Sorter will work closely with Bar Sorters to ensure the precise segregation of rebars. This involves sorting materials according to specific size, grade, and batch requirements. The role's objective is to facilitate accurate material delivery and maintain compliance with established production schedules, contributing directly to operational efficiency and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the identification and segregation of rebars as per production specifications.
• Support the movement of sorted bars to designated stacking or storage locations.
• Aid in the transport of rebars within the sorting and cooling bed areas.
• Ensure the safe stacking and proper alignment of bars.
• Contribute to the maintenance and cleaning of sorting equipment and work areas.
• Report any equipment faults or potential safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate effectively with Bar Sorters, Cooling Bed Operators, and Forklift Operators.
• Communicate production or quality issues to appropriate supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free sorting area, contributing to a safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of bar sorting operations.
• Knowledge of fundamental safety procedures in an industrial setting.

• Physically capable of performing manual material handling tasks.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative abilities.
