About the Internship at Weatherford

Weatherford is seeking INTERNS for its summer 2023 program in Dammam, Eastern Region. This internship offers hands-on experience across various departments, including Finance, Accounting, Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. The program is designed to support personal success and professional development within the oil and gas industry.

Internship Experience and Development

Interns will gain familiarity with critical Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards, understand the oil and gas industry, and learn about Weatherford's impact on outcomes. The program includes participation in technically focused training, professional development sessions, and team meetings. A core component of the internship is a project with meaningful impact, requiring cross-functional collaboration to develop solutions and present results to the Senior Leadership team. Interns receive support from their managers and the Talent Development team to ensure professional growth and knowledge expansion within the organization and industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive coaching and mentoring to understand the organization and projects, aiding skill development.
• Complete internal projects focused on identifying business improvements and critical customer outcomes.
• Learn about organizational systems and processes to assist with project and task completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
• Present project outcomes to the Senior Leadership team.
• Provide feedback at the conclusion of the internship.
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures consistently to maintain compliance.

Professional Conduct and Organizational Alignment

• Adhere to the highest standards of corporate governance, ethics, and compliance with Company Security, Compliance & HS&E policies, Management System, and relevant regulations.
• Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and environmental protection in all activities.
• Contribute to continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & Environment, considering process vulnerabilities and best business practices.
• Familiarize with Company Quality policies and actively participate in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System.
• Maintain effective communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage expenses responsibly, ensuring costs are within approved budgets and processed according to financial policies.
• Engage with the line manager regularly to discuss performance, objectives, and opportunities for skill enhancement.
• Demonstrate leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level degree program.
• Demonstrated interest in learning, observing, and practicing diverse experiences within the industry.
• Awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Articulate, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
