Process Control System Engineer

About the Role

FNRCO is seeking a Process Control System Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves the design, development, implementation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 Process Control Systems. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields.

Role Overview

The PCS 7 Engineer will be responsible for various activities throughout the project lifecycle, including software engineering, HMI development, system integration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, troubleshooting, and comprehensive project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure Siemens PCS 7 control applications, including CFC, CMT, SFC, alarms, interlocks, and third-party interfaces.
• Design and maintain WinCC HMI/SCADA graphics, trends, reports, and operator interfaces.
• Configure and program SIMATIC S7 PLCs (S7-400H, S7-410H, ET200 series).
• Support project engineering activities, including system architecture, network design, and control system specifications.
• Review customer specifications, FDS, P&IDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, and control philosophies.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as FDS, SDS, IO Lists, Cause & Effect matrices, FAT/SAT procedures, and commissioning reports.
• Conduct Pre-FAT testing, system verification, and internal validation activities.
• Execute and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers, addressing observations and punch items.
• Perform site commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, loop checking, and SAT activities.
• Provide technical support for system modifications, upgrades, and operational issues during plant startup and operation.

Required Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in process control systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7.
• Proficiency in WinCC HMI/SCADA development and SIMATIC S7 PLC programming.
