About SADAFCO and the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Sales Supervisor to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for managing sales operations and ensuring effective distribution within designated routes.

Role Overview

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of salesmen and overseeing sales and distribution activities for assigned routes. The primary objective is to ensure that sales and secondary distribution efforts are consistently aligned with company policies, ultimately delivering sales targets and other important key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting sales targets for the team, providing guidance and motivation to sales staff, and effectively managing sales routes to achieve targets within agreed costs and operational parameters.
• Obtain and maintain current information regarding relevant sales and distribution channels and competitor activity across the area, sharing insights with management for appropriate action.
• Ensure all sales staff are trained and execute the company’s replenishment program effectively, ensuring products are available in the correct quantity and are as fresh as possible according to system recommendations.
• Execute agreements with Modern Trade / Wholesale customers as instructed and maintain strong business relationships with customer representatives in the designated area.
• Optimize daily journey planning for salesmen in cooperation with them and management, to plan customer routes efficiently and maximize productivity. The Sales Supervisor must be familiar with and recognized by customers in their areas.
• Monitor product shelf life at the point of sale to ensure reserved product space is filled, no expired product is displayed, and rotation and wastage control adhere to company policies.
• Initiate and organize sales to new clients in assigned routes, aligned with relevant departments and S&D plans, to increase sales volume.
• Execute the approved company credit policy and manage credit and collections for all sales in the area, ensuring timely payments.
• Ensure all company assets are well maintained and initiate repairs or replacements when necessary.
• Manage the required number and quality of personnel in line with SADAFCO’s HR policies to achieve S&D targets, including providing training for new recruits and current staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry, administration, and reporting for the area using MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Automation) systems according to S&D policies.
• Conduct daily MSFA endorsements with each salesman, reviewing daily performance and identifying opportunities for action and follow-up.
• Ensure that vehicles are clean and tidy, and salesmen’s uniforms conform to company standards, to represent the company professionally to customers.
• Monitor and analyze inventory carryover in salesmen’s vehicles/vans regularly, taking appropriate action (*, initiating van unloading for excessive carryover) to ensure accurate stock rotation and sales efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a sales supervision role or a related field. A proven track record in managing sales teams and distribution activities is essential.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, requiring active engagement in the assigned sales routes.
